My name is Collin Niemerg, and I grew up in Teutopolis, IL (“suburb” of Effingham), home of the Wooden Shoes! Growing up there, you either played sports, enjoyed hunting, or both. I developed a
love for the outdoors due to my father, hunting dove and other small game, and my uncles who introduced me to Whitetail hunting at a young age. I graduated from Teutopolis High School in 2009 and
went on to play baseball at a JUCO (Lincoln Land Community College) where I attained my Associates degree in Environmental Science. I then went on to Indiana State University, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management. I currently work for a utility contractor who build and maintain transmission and distribution lines, along with substations all over Illinois and surrounding
states. Shortly after college, I bought my very own piece of dirt at the age of 24. It was 36 acres in Clay County, IL and Brandon Swartzlander was the listing agent. It was something I’ve always dreamt of doing, buying a “starter” piece and developing it into something bigger. This is what sparked my passion for real estate. That 36 acres turned into a 40 acre tract, then ultimately a 120 acre tract in Cumberland County, IL. I gained experience in the buying and selling process by doing this on my own, but it wasn’t easy. I hope to make this process easier for customers looking to one day own their dream property. If you think I can help you in any way, please don’t hesitate to contact me, thanks!
